MIKE HOPKINS - Guitar & vocals
MIKE HOPKINS is the leader of the Dead Guise Band. An accomplished performer, he is well known for his laid-back and comfortable style. Over the last two years Mike has performed many solo shows all over Whidbey Island. Make sure to catch one!
LARRY FIELDS - Guitar & Vocals
Larry Fields got his start playing rock and roll out of high school in the San Diego area playing in bar/dance bands before his university studies took priority. After relocating to Washington, Larry resumed pursuing his passion and became active in the local rock scene. He has been a member of several classic rock bar bands in Everett and Snohomish. He has maintained a love and passion for the Grateful Dead's music since seeing his first shows and "getting on the bus" in the early 90's, never to look back.
Bruce Towne - Drums
Bruce Towne has been a percussionist since he took up playing the pots and pans in his mom’s kitchen at a very young age. He began studying drumming seriously at age 8, and has been playing ever since, both professionally and for fun. He’s been a fan of the Grateful Dead ever since first seeing them live back in the mists of time. Bruce can also be seen performing with the ISLAND JAZZ COLLECTIVE.
LEE CLEMETSON - KEYBOARDS
Lee has been playing the keys with several bands in Snohomish and Island counties over the years. Most notably Pioneer Highway of the Stanwood - Camano area and with Eddie Spaghetti and the Meatballs (we played every bar in Snohomish and Granite Falls many times and survived). Now with the Dead Guise band, Lee is ‘searching for the sound’ of the Grateful Dead with Organ and Piano in bringing this music to life.
John "JD" Dietrich - Bass & Vocals
Singer/Songwriter John "JD" Dietrich plays bass in the Dead Guise. He also currently performs with the Seattle band TUPELO and with the Whidbey-based band WILD HORSES. With TUPELO he released two all-original CD's LEAVIN' PARADISE (2009) and "THE LONELIEST RIDE" (2012). In 2024 he released a full-length all original CD "THE JD & FRIENDS BAND". In the same year, he also released an all-original CD with the band "FOUR FACE WEST" based in Los Angeles.
